StopFlash-USA - More on Using StopFlash: "AWARENESS BREATHING™
StopFlash™ combined with Awareness Breathing™ allows you to feel what is going on in your body and be in control of your hot flashes. Here is how it works:
During a hot flash your breathing changes. The muscles connected with breathing, especially the diaphragm, are contracted. This results in a feeling of tension in the chest and abdomen and an inability to fully exhale. After spraying StopFlash™ towards the roof of the mouth, begin to breathe. First breathe through the mouth to get the StopFlash™ vapors to the back of the throat then breathe through the nose to get the vapors up to the top of the nose into the area under the eyes. After breathing in deeply through the nose, hold the breath for a count of 5 before breathing out. Put your attention on the upper abdomen and feel for the release of tension (contraction) in the diaphragm. If you don’t feel the release repeat the above. Breathe deeply in through the nose, hold for a count of five and breathe out. Again, feel for the release of tension in the diaphragm. When the diaphragm does release you will feel it relax and you will have the ability to fully exhale. Overall, your breathing will become relaxed and smooth. At this point the hot flash is over. You will then begin the cool-down phase. For many women who use this procedure, the time from the hot flash to cool-down is 2-3 minutes.
During the cool-down phase continue to breathe calmly and deeply. If you can, expose your skin to cool air, drink cool water and if you choose, spray StopFlash™ on the skin. Spraying on the abdomen and the back of the neck feels wonderfully cooling!
I have come to realize that women want to know two things when a hot flash strikes:
How bad is it going to be?
How long is it go"
